Who makes Nibblr
Nibblr is a calorie and macro tracker made by BergBuilds (Denmark). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the app.
What the app stores, and where
- What you eat (foods, amounts, meals and times), your own foods, dishes and saved meals, your goals, weigh-ins, fasting window and history, workouts sent from Reppr, and your settings (reminder times and similar). All of this is saved only in the app's storage on your phone.
- The 18,000 built-in foods (from Frida, CoFID and the USDA) are part of the app. Searching them happens on your phone and works offline.
What leaves your phone
Only what you choose to send:
- Barcode scan and "Search online": the barcode number, or the words you search for, are sent to Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org) to look up the product. Nothing else is sent with it: not your log, not your name, not an account. Open Food Facts is run by a French non-profit; its own privacy policy applies to these requests.
- Nutrition label scan: the photo is read on your phone (Google ML Kit text recognition, on-device). The photo is not uploaded anywhere and is not kept after the scan.
- Share, copy and save a day: Nibblr makes a picture or text of a day and hands it to your phone's share menu or clipboard, or saves it to your gallery. Where it goes is up to you.
- Save a backup: one file with your Nibblr data, handed to your phone's share menu (for example to save in your own cloud storage).
- Reppr and Arcmode (other BergBuilds apps): Reppr can pass a finished workout to Nibblr (its name, duration and estimated calorie burn). When Arcmode asks, or you tap "Send this day to Arcmode", Nibblr passes a short summary of each logged day to Arcmode: date, calories and protein against your goals, how many things you logged, and a vitamins score. This happens directly between the apps on your phone; nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
Permissions
- Camera: to read barcodes and nutrition labels. Photos are processed on the phone.
- Photos: only when you pick a label photo yourself or save a day picture to your gallery. Nibblr only sees the photo you pick (on newer Android, through the system photo picker).
- Notifications: for meal reminders and fasting-window reminders you turn on yourself. They're scheduled on the phone; no server is involved.
- Internet: for the Open Food Facts lookups above.
Deleting your data
Deleting an entry or a food removes it. Uninstalling Nibblr, or clearing its storage in your phone's settings, deletes everything. Backup files you saved yourself are yours to delete.
Children
Nibblr is not directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.

Does Nibblr collect data about me?
No. The app collects no personal data. The only thing that goes online is barcodes and search words you look up in Open Food Facts yourself.
Do I need an account?
No. Nibblr has no account and no sign-in.
